The Yamaha Piano Story

At the very beginning of the Twentieth Century, Torakusu Yamaha and his colleagues introduced the first Yamaha Piano to the world. Having studied the art of piano building first in the United States, Mr. Yamaha dedicated his work to design and build the most musically perfect pianos possible. Yamaha was awarded a Grand Prize at the St. Louis World's Fair in 1904, just four short years after the company produced its first piano. As the saying goes, the rest is history!

As the Twenty-first Century evolves you will find that Mr. Yamaha's original intent to build a piano with the best tone, touch and quality construction abides withn the wide horizon of keyboard instruments manufactured by Yamaha today...instruments that he could not have possibly imagined during those early founding years. By navigating the selection of Yamaha Piano website links below you will come to appreciate Yamaha's achievements in providing the best in traditional and advanced piano designs, as certified by performing musicians around the world. You will find traditional Yamaha Grand and Upright Pianos, Disklavier Brand Player Pianos, Clavinova Brand Digital Pianos and the new revolutionary collection of Hybrid Pianos.

No matter which Yamaha Piano you choose you are assured to own an instrument that is unmatched in tone, touch and quality as compared to any other instrument of equal size and price. Visit Yamaha Corporate Information to learn more about the history and dedication built into every Yamaha Product!
